Casio Men's WVA109HDA-2BV Waveceptor Atomic Watch Review

Casio Men's WVA109HDA-2BV Waveceptor Atomic WatchThis watch is really a favorite, but the directions for various functions are very confusing. The watch band is also huge and I had to make two trips to the jewelers to take out links. It's a heavy watch, probably because of all the available functions and well worth it.

Casio Women's BG1500A-1BV Baby-G Atomic Timekeeping Watch Review

Casio Women's BG1500A-1BV Baby-G Atomic Timekeeping WatchThis is sort of big for a womens wrist...I am a big girl but it still is kind of big..looks like a mens.I like how the hands automatically set the time when you choose the country...kind of nifty.I thought the whole watch illuminated from the pic but you have to press a button to get it to light up.The hands do glow in the dark but the rest of it does not which sort of sucks...oh well I kept it anyways..needed something to wear when I work out.Its not a bad watch just a few little things that don't make it great.

Casio WS300-1EV Men's Full LCD Ana-Digi Illuminator Sport Watch Review

Casio WS300-1EV Men's Full LCD Ana-Digi Illuminator Sport WatchWhen I ordered this watch I did it because I saw this watch has features I need and maybe more than that. I was right.
First of all, I like dual time watch because I like to know exact time in other time zone.
Moreover, I don't want to ask someone for exact date. I want to have it on my watch. This watch also has useful feature - lap memory which helps me when I run arround socer field because I often forget how many laps I made. And, one unexpected but very good feature is auto illumitator which helps me to see the time when my both hands are busy.
It is also water resistant which means a lot when I swim.
In short this watch is perfect for my needs and it is also very cheap.

Casio Men's AQF100W-7BV Forester Sports Thermometer Watch Review

Casio Men's AQF100W-7BV Forester Sports Thermometer WatchAfter reading the reviews on here, I was a bit hesitant about buying this watch. I have had other Casio thermometer watches in the past, and was able to calibrate them to the accurate temperature while on my wrist. Despite all the reviews complaining about the inaccuracy of the temp, THIS WATCH IS NO DIFFERENT. All that needs to be done is to get a temp reading with another thermometer, and then program this watch according to the instruction booklet. That's it. It's reading temperature very accurately as I type. Yes, the instruction booklet is complicated (the PDF version from Casio.com is MUCH easier to follow), but it is worth it!

Casio Men's FT500WV-1BV Electro-Luminescent Forester Analog Sport Watch Review

Casio Men's FT500WV-1BV Electro-Luminescent Forester Analog Sport WatchI own three Omegas, two Citizens and three Seikos, but the little Casio Forester is the watch that goes with me into harm's way.I work in very severe conditions--in the Middle East. You don't want to expose a fine mechanical or even quartz watch to daily dust baths and searing desert heat. The little Casio has held up through the worst of conditions, and still keeps time to within 15 seconds a month of the atomic clock in Colorado. It's highly water resistant, and so light you hardly know it's on your wrist.Amazon sells this watch under $20.How can you complain about a rugged, accurate watch for under $20?I usually wear an Omega when going "out on the town," but the Casio is my watch for the dust storms and being around things that could knock your expensive watch silly. My expensive watches will last much longer because I have sense enough not to wear them to work!

Casio Men's MTG900DA-8V G-Shock MT-G Atomic Tough Solar Watch Review

Casio Men's MTG900DA-8V G-Shock MT-G Atomic Tough Solar WatchI surveyed vast field of digital choices before getting the watch a month ago, and I'm well satisfied. Most digital watches (as opposed to analog with hour and minute hands) are ugly, IMO, so my surveying has mainly been frustrating.I found a nice line of digital Casio Edifices, with big digits and glimmering colorful faces, which served for a while, but has apparently been discontinued a year or two ago, and my last one quit working two months ago.

I bought this watch, grimacing at the price, just because it wasn't particularly ugly and had big digits, but it exceeded my meager expectations. The manual was a bit of a slog - it took about 20 minutes to read, but well worth it.

The features are outstanding - about 5 alarms, one of which can be set for snooze alarms, the expected stop watch, easy access to Greenwich Meridian Time, markers for noting times, a backlight, waterproof enough for scuba diving (not that I dive).

The special features include checking with a radio signal daily so the time is always correct (important for catching my buses and winning arguments about what time it really is), solar power (so run-down batteries should never be a problem), and backlighting that turns on when one turns one's wrist (surprisingly convenient).A nice touch is when one cycles back to the time, the watch gives a different unobtrusive beep.

There are other features available on other watches - tape recorders, flash drives, altimeters, compasses, but none that sound remotely useful in the long run.

I had to shorten the well-built wriststrap by 5 or 6 links, a little tricky, but any watch shop could do it in 5 minutes.

If you want a big, full-featured, easy-to-read and operate digital watch, this is the one, and I've surveyed most of them.

Post originally written mid-January, this added 2-25-07:I've found there might be problems with battery life, or maybe it is just the Seattle winter.I've had to leave my watch sometimes under a light when the power get low, and changing the battery can only be done by Casio, according to one watch shop. Also, the price on the watch is coming down quickly to more reasonable levels.I still like it a lot, despite having to juice it up from time to time.

Casio Men's MQ24-7B2 Analog Black Resin Strap Watch Review

Casio Men's MQ24-7B2 Analog Black Resin Strap WatchThis is the perfect watch for you if you are on a budget. I like it, though I'm more into the flash of the Casio MQ241E. The upshot is that this is a watch for the people. There's no flash, no digital, no leather band, nothing but a simple watch. For the price, you honestly cannot beat it. The only way it could get better is if either someone gave you the watch as a gift, or you won it in the "claw of luck" game in the supermarket entryway. That's the ONLY way it gets better than this... A true gem...

Casio Men's AQW101-1ACF Active Dial Multi-Task Gear Sport Watch Review

Casio Men's AQW101-1ACF Active Dial Multi-Task Gear Sport WatchI like inexpensive sports watches.I can't bring myself to wear a watch to impress, and can't imagine wanting a fancy (and expensive) one.I'm like my dad: when it comes to watches I prefer function to form.I like the digital time, the digital timer and the stopwatch.Unlike my dad, however, who for several years (to my mother's chagrin) wore a calculator watch everywhere he went (God rest his soul, I loved the man), I do like it to look good.

I needed a new watch, and wanted to get one that had both a digital readout and hands.I'm not sure why such watches even exist, but I think they look good, and I'm really happy about this watch.I think it looks good on me, and fits well (and I'm a very tall guy, with big wrists) and it has all the functions I could ever want in a watch (timer, alarm and stopwatch, etc.) plus a few more (the compass dial is a fake, though, and this won't give you directions). It reads temperature (though for that it's only an accurate reading if you take it off, since body heat messes with it, though you can adjust for that if you like - I haven't bothered). It shows you the phase of the moon, if you can believe that. But the real showstopper with this watch is the "good fishing" indicator, that varies between one fish and four: when all four leaping fish are lit up, that means (I guess) that you can't miss.I haven't tested the accuracy of its predictions yet and don't know enough (or care) to adjust it.As it turns out, I was surprised by this feature (I guess I didn't read the ad very clearly, mostly looked at the title and the picture, and the price was right and it looks nice). Still, I take some measure of confidence in knowing that if there were a global meltdown, and the local grocery stores were to run out of food, and if I ever got around to buying the proper gear, I'd then have a leg up on all the rest of the sorry sots who don't have a fish predictor built into their watch.
