This is a typical G-Shock...except it is orange.It is a great boating watch due to the color.If it happens to become dislodged from your wrist and fall overboard, it is clearly visible to recover.It has all the same functions and versatility of most Casio G-Shock watches.The watch is fairly thick so it is not as comfortable as a thin dress watch...but you didn't buy it for dress, you bought it for function and visibility.This specific watch comes in blue, black, and red, in addition to orange.The G-Shock line of Casio's are virtually indestructable.It makes a very good watch for outdoor activities.I boat, swim, ski, dive, get it muddy and sandy, and shower in the watch.If it has any negatives it would be the backlight illumination is just a little weak and the watch is bulky, so it catches on ski vests or other clothing.

Casio Slim Big Number Digital Watch Model W-E10G-1AV Review

Ok, you are looking for a 'Big Number' watch to ease the strain on your tired eyes, so did I......but this cheap made in china product doesn't make it so easy to figure out what you are looking at....it, like most products these days, emphasizes style rather than utility, ie for example you may in not so good light see either a 7 or 1, and the 't' from tu/th is quite invisible in the day/date display, etc.It is, in other words, badly designed.The design and material quality of many Casio products is disappointing........just read the many negative feedbacks re watchstrap reliability!

CASIO MQ27-1B Men's Dress Watch Review

In brief, I didn't research enough before making this purchase.The picture looked like a low-grade leather band, but there was no mention of its composition in the description.It's actually a plastic band.I give it three stars because it really is mediocre.I plan on replacing the band with leather, when I can find one suitably sized.I do like the watch style, otherwise.It's small and not flashy, just the way I like it.Remember, as always, you get what you pay for.

Casio - MW827EV Review

This is a very lightweight, simple watch. Easy to read, accurate, and it has that so very useful rotating bezel for tracking minutes.

The glow in the dark hands are very bright, but the hour indicators, despite their style and color, do not glow in the dark.I'd take off half a star for that, but since it isn't an option and the watch is so very inexpensive, it deserves a half star bonus, anyway.

When mine came, it was already set to the correct time to the second (checked against the broadcast signal of the national atomic clock). I was impressed.

When I tried to manually adjust the time, it broke, so I sent it back for a new one. The second watch couldn't set time zones correctly, so I sent it back also, and then bought a watch from another company.

Casio customer service is only available during limited hours. If you get them on the phone, they're pretty good, but email support isn't very helpful (if they reply at all).

I'd be willing to pay more for a watch that actually worked and had decent customer service, but Casio is clearly all about quantity and not quality. I was verydisappointed with this purchase and wish I haddn't wasted all that time.

I collect high quality mechanical watches but occasionally buy a quartz watch just to wear for knocking about when a good one might get damaged. Since I had never had an "atomic" watch, I thought I'd try this "entry level" one. First, it came with a Xeroxed user's manual that was for a completely different model altogether, where none of the buttons did the same thing at all. It took quite a search to locate a pdf file of the correct manual. I have now had the watch for almost a week, and it is still five minutes fast by "real atomic clock" time even though I've left it in a sunny window at least half the time. My advice: buy a more expensive model.

I bought this watch mostly because I liked the color (i have the neon green one) thinking it was fun, cheerful...
On the plus side it is a pretty substantial watch, does not feel like my old $5 casio from back when (and many of their current line still do).However, it takes forever to program and is very hard to read.I may well return it and buy the analog watch I cancelled when I found this.I suspect that one takes a minute to set and forget, and less time to read.
there are watches out there (tokyo flash e.g.) which are meant to present a challenge, a bit of mental exercise.This is not one of them. (and setting it up was irritating rather than entertaining).
If I got paid for the time I spent setting this watch up I could have bough5t a rolex.

I was looking for a fun watch to wear to work and also for working out. Easy to use once you read the instructions. Stop watch, Countdown Timer (minute intervals only), Time Zones and an analog clock. I personally can't read the analog b/c its so small but it serves fashion well.
