Casio Men's MTP1165G-1C Analog Watch Review

Bought this watch from Amazon andusing pictures and description only as gauge.The watch arrived in two days and was well packed.The band is about two links too large and will have to be sized.The watch casing is thicker than I like and as the picture shows it.The styling is handsome and appears to be rugged and dressy.For the money it is a reasonable but not exceptional buy at about $35.00 with 2 day shipping.

Casio Women's BGR300-7 Baby-G White Tough Solar Power Digital Watch Review

I have had this for a few weeks now.I wanted something I could wear while out with my two young children, particularly at the beach and not have to worry about it.I also wanted something without a battery, both for the environment and for convenience. This watch fits the bill. I NEVER worry about having it on...no matter what I am doing. This is my first digital sport watch so it is a bit counterintuitive for me to set and I don't need all the features, nor do I know how to work them - the guide is very good, I just have no interest beside the time, the water-resistance and the shock-proofness.

The only downside for me is that it needs to be in bright light regularly to re-charge. With my analog watches, I pull the little stem and it stops the watch. Since this is a spring/summer watch for me,this means that I have to leave it out of storage ( not in a drawer or box )for the rechargeable battery to stay functional.My solution to this is to keep it on my night stand directly under my reading lamp, where it gets a bit of bright light every night. It will be left there for the entire Fall/Winter.I originally disliked this alternative but the watch is so useful to me that I will live with it.

Casio Men's DB35H-1AV Digital Databank Watch Review

If you're looking for a good functional watch with the Databank features, this may be a good choice.It is smaller and lighter than some others, has a nice loud alarm (5 actually), and you can store stuff (phone numbers, etc).Plus, its inexpensive.That's virtually the definition of the term "value".

BUT - as already commented by one reviewer, the face can be hard to read, especially if you are older and your eyes are not as good as they once were.The photo is deceiving.It only looks green like this if you hold it in just the right position.Otherwise, it is a medium-brownish background with dark text on it.In addition, the button used for setting alarms/etc needs a pointy object to press it (fingernails don't always work).So trying to set alarms could be tricky.Again - if you're young and looking for an inexpensive watch with data storage, these issues may not bother you.If that's the case, you should consider this DB35H model.

Otherwise, look for something with one of Casio's higher-contrast faces and different button setups.I bought the Casio AQW101B "fishing" watch at the same time, and will be using it instead of the DB35H. The face has _much_ better contrast, and the bottons are easy to operate.Just wish it had the databank and 5-alarms that the DB35H does !
