A quick look at the manual will cover it. The display conveniently shows time, date and day of the week. Smart looking watch too.

Casio Men's AQW100-1AV Forester Active Dial Sport Watch Review

Casio Men's AQW100-1AV Forester Active Dial Sport WatchWell, I do body boarding and I wanted a water resistant watch that was not terribly expensive. This is a cost effective timepiece given the functions and design.

The durability of the watch for 200m is good for someone with an active lifestyle in the water. This is a simple watch that has a timer, stopwatch, 3 alarms, and illuminated hands for when you are reading the time in the dark. The light allows for viewing in total darkness but the script can be small for some folks. The moon data is nice to have, but not something that I depend upon.

The band is comfortable and the watch is solid in construction.I do find reading the digital time and date difficult with the hands in the way but it is not a deal breaker. The protective crystal is scratch resistant but not protected by the bezel.

It is a solid choice for a person with an active lifestyle.

Casio Men's EDB610D-8 Databank Digital Watch Review

Casio Men's EDB610D-8 Databank Digital WatchThis watch does what it is supposed to do, but in such a fashion that it makes it unpleasant to use it. I am dropping it in favour of a Timex Data Link, after a week of use.

I was looking for a watch to store my contacts and also schedules, especially birthdays and anniversaries which for me are completely impossible to remember. I used to have an earlier Casio Databank which neatly stored them for me and I decided to go for the better and more modern model, supposing Casio had improved what I once had.

The Hardware: Very good looking, but AFTER A FEW HOURS OF USE it starts showing all kinds of scrateches, so if you are going to wear it on your wrist go for the plastivc model.
The display is difficult to read and Casio has managed to use two overlapping screens one with a bue-ish tone whick makes it impossible to read, the utilities menu, especially if you use the also blue light.
The keypad of the calculator, which is also used to enter data is quite difficult to use and unfriendly with your fingertips.

The Software. The utilities menu is well thought, but once you get to the utilities themselves, the disappointment comes, data is difficult to enter, and untastefully displayed, a pity for such a good looking watch.
The worst of all (and this is my fault) there is no schedule mode, only five alarms with which I can enter my precious data to remeber my mommy's birthday and the project's deadline. I have no use for this watch. Althoug scratched all over, after one week, it will make a fine birthday present for some kid to store his girfriend's phone numbers.

Casio, come on guys, design something that connects with the PC so we don't have to punch all our data in. It can't be that difficult.

G-Shock G-Shock GLX5600 Watch Review

G-Shock G-Shock GLX5600 WatchThis is a great watch for the money.I've taken it surfing a few times now -- the tide indicator works reasonably well, provided you set it up correctly (google recommended for that) -- and after simply washing away any sand or surf wax from the day, it still looks glossy and brand new.I have a few watches, some of which are exponentially more expensive than this one, but I find myself wearing this more and more (even when not doing anything that would require the G-Shock 'toughness').It works well and just happens to look great to boot.

Casio Men's AQF100W-7BV Forester Sports Thermometer Watch Review

Casio Men's AQF100W-7BV Forester Sports Thermometer WatchAfter reading the reviews on here, I was a bit hesitant about buying this watch. I have had other Casio thermometer watches in the past, and was able to calibrate them to the accurate temperature while on my wrist. Despite all the reviews complaining about the inaccuracy of the temp, THIS WATCH IS NO DIFFERENT. All that needs to be done is to get a temp reading with another thermometer, and then program this watch according to the instruction booklet. That's it. It's reading temperature very accurately as I type. Yes, the instruction booklet is complicated (the PDF version from Casio.com is MUCH easier to follow), but it is worth it!

Casio Men's AMW320D-9EV Ana-Digi Alarm Chronograph Dive Watch Review

Casio Men's AMW320D-9EV Ana-Digi Alarm Chronograph Dive WatchAfter about seven years of great service, my wrist now bears a dead AMW320D (great name, eh, really trips off the tongue).I went in for my third battery replacement and the jeweler told me that corrosion had eaten away at the movement. The first time I replaced the battery I learned that the seal had to be broken and the watch might no longer resist water. The soft rubbery plastic strap died long ago, replaced by a superior twist-o-flex-style metal wrist band.
Now you might think I'm dissatisfied. But I intend to order another the minute (or so -- I don't have a working watch) I finish writing this review. Why?It has been a great watch.Analog plus digital gives me easy-to-read intuitive time checking, along with all the bells and whistles of silicon: multiple times, alarm, stop watch, and calendar. The outer ring on the face lets me rotate the "north" arrow to a future time, say 45 minutes from now, and I know time's up when the minute hand gets there.(I have no idea why the face ring has compass points and degrees marked on it -- to fool one's friends?)The watch has been rugged, holding up to the shock of using hoes and axes, although I didn't push my luck if I remembered to take it off.
I'm looking at my old friend, now motionless and blank, and figure he had a pretty good run.Time's up for this timepiece, at a cost of a little more than $10 per year. Since I bought the last one on display at Mervyn's, I didn't get a box or manual and didn't even know what it was called AMW320D until looking it up on the web just now.AMW320D I didn't even know your name all these great years together.

Casio Men's DW5600E-1V G-Shock Classic Digital Watch Review

Casio Men's DW5600E-1V G-Shock Classic Digital WatchThis 5600 has everything I need, and nothing I don't:
- It tells you the time, date, and day of the week at a glance.
- It has 1 alarm (not 5 like many other G-Shocks -- too fidly).
- A countdown timer (with the current time shown in the upper box).
- A stopwatch (again, time is still shown).

That's it. If you want fancy "features" like inaccurate temperature readings, barometric pressure graph which gets distorted by temperature and altitude, 19 alarms, and world time in 7,000 cities around the world -- look elsewhere! This watch does exactly what a wristwatch should, which in my opinion is tell the time, and take an absolute beating. I don't particularly want to stand in public pressing 15 buttons on my watch, just to set a quick alarm to remind me of something. This 5600 keeps everything relatively simple (obviously go through the manual when you first get it).

(I started collecting G-Shocks; they have all since been given away/sold since I discovered this little beauty. I had a Riseman, Gulfman, Mudman, and G7700 -- and none of them were worn after purchasing this. And I paid AUS$350 for the Riseman!)

The design of this watch is absolutely classic. It is truly a "timeless" design for a digital watch. The best thing about it is the simplicity -- it is one of the few G-Shocks which doesn't have random circles which show the seconds, bar graphs, a bezel 2 inches off your wrist, etc etc. It's clean and simple.

As far as durability, I haven't taken mine off for over 6 months; it's been swimming indoors, at the beach, smashed against shelving time and time again (I'm a storeman), it gets run under hot water about 10 times a day for hand-washing, I shower in it, sleep in it, play with my kids at the park ... It is yet to show ANY visible damage -- absolutely amazing!

The buttons are fine to press. After setting the alarm, starting the stopwatch, whatever, it returns you to the time mode with a single button push. Again, there is no nonsense, like scrolling through 5 more modes just to get back to the time display.

If you are also looking at the "solar atomic" model of the 5600, please consider -- the batteries in this watch will last years and years, and it will keep very accurate time (I reset it against Internet atomic time every few months and it's never been out by more than a few seconds). In my opinion solar & atomic are essentially "gimmicks" in wristwatches (no offense to those that enjoy those features, but, I see them as useless, and I have owned a solar G-Shock).

I 100% recommend this watch for the no-nonsense buyer who wants a relatively slim/sleek G-Shock with all the toughness, and non of the "fluff".
